The Peril of Certainty

This book offers a radical re-framing of one of humanity's oldest problems: the quest for absolute truth. Written from my unique perspective as a Data and Software Engineer, I argue that our psychological drive for certainty is, in technical terms, a form of Overfitting; a dangerous over-adaptation to past data that leads to fragility in the face of an uncertain future. By translating powerful concepts from computer science, machine learning, and system architecture into accessible metaphors, the book provides a practical framework for "Probabilistic Living". It is a manifesto for intellectual humility, showing that the most resilient systems, whether code or life, are those that embrace doubt and continuous iteration.The Core ThesisAbsolute certainty in human thought is the equivalent of Overfitting in an algorithm: we adapt too strongly to the past and lose the ability to generalize in an uncertain future.
