Almost 40% of all people have suffered from insomnia at some point in their life and over 10% have chronic insomnia. Nowadays, people are more likely to develop insomnia due to the increased pressure at work. The current work scenario is very demanding and causes high levels of psychological stress, anxiety and depression, all of which cause insomnia.
In fact, there is a certain type of insomnia known as shift work which is caused by late shifts or irregular work hours. Stress can also be attributed to marital and personal issues, such as financial problems.
