Description

Yogi Ramacharaka (India, 1799 - ...) was an Indian philosopher. He was a yogi master who lived in India and Tibet in the 19th century. The little information that we have concerns the fact that he made a pilgrimage among all the Lamaist monasteries in order to study the texts contained in the libraries of these. He organized his own school in 1865 and was the teacher of Baba Bharata, who moved to Chicago and was probably, in turn, the teacher of William Walker Atkinson. Atkinson himself often used the pseudonym of Ramacharaka; all publications under this name are actually by Atkinson.
